Balance milestones

When the figures drift, count and carry on.

A payment nobody entered, a receipt that never made it in: records drift. A milestone says what your wallets really held at a moment. From there on, every balance runs from your count.

Balance milestones: what the records said, what was counted and the difference, then a count being typed in

What you can do

Records said, you counted

For each wallet, the page shows what the records said, what you counted and the difference between them.

No invented transactions

A count never adds a made-up adjustment, so your spending, budgets and categories stay what you recorded.

The past stays as it was

The months before a milestone keep what the records said. The jump lands at the milestone, and everything after runs from the count.

Everything follows

The wallet list, the dashboard, the balance charts and anything else that reads a wallet’s balance carry on from your count.

Since your last count

See the counted total, the money in and out of those wallets since, and where that leaves them now.

A reminder to count

The dashboard tells you how long ago your cash was last counted.

How it works

1

Count your wallets

The cash in hand and the balance your bank’s app shows.

2

Record the milestone

Type the figures in, with a note if you like.

3

Read the difference

See how much went out or came in unrecorded, and carry on from the truth.

See it on your own numbers.
